About Magma Products
Magma traces its history back to 1976, when California sailors and identical twins Jim and Jerry Mashburn grew frustrated trying to attach grills to their boat. After several porcelain metal grills quickly rusted out, the twins set out to make a stainless-steel grill that could withstand the hardships of a saltwater environment. More than 30 years later, Magma's familiar stainless-steel grill can be seen from Newport to New South Wales, from Cape Cod to Cape Horn, from the South of France to San Francisco. The original charcoal grill is still available, but is now complemented with several round and rectangular propane models. Magma also sells mounting devices to accommodate all possible boating needs, tables to help with prepping and serving, umbrellas for shade, and anti-roll devices to steady the boat while you enjoy your favorite meal.

The Fever Series : Magma Catalina Gourmet Series Gas Grill Reviews
7 of 8 people found the following review helpful Catalina won't stay lit in a slight breeze, By This review is from: Magma Catalina Gourmet Series Gas Grill (Sports) Magma Catalina Gourmet Series Gas Grill Nice grill that cooks well on a no breeze day. In Alaska, thats rare. The Catalina we own won't stay lit in a slight breeze until I modified the exhaust port. Too bad I had to make changes to this expensive grill. My mod is made of all stainless metal and screws. It was tested with an industrial floor fan mounted on saw horses grill level at various angles at close range. Now the grill will cook on a windy day. My mod was well tested in nearly gale force winds. The flame color remained blue and grill temperature remained plenty hot (searing hot). In Alaska, we don't wait for the weather to improve. |
