Farmer Wants a Wife is a popular reality TV series that started in 2001 in United Kingdom, where its very first edition was aired.Right now, there are more than 10 localised versions of this show in different countries all over the world.It has become one of the highest rated entertainment shows in a lot of countries such as Belgium, Norway and Netherlands.It has become so popular that even Australia caught the fever and started its own localised version of the said reality TV show.2010 Series 5 Episode 1.Farmer Wants a Wife Australia premiered in Australia on Nine Network in year 2007 and up to date, the show has already had a total of 5 seasons, with the 6th coming up this year.The first season came in six episodes, with the first one airing on the 24th of October 2007.Last year's season started airing on the 18th of July 2010 and ended on the 15th of September same year.The show basically revolves around a number of farmers in search of the women of their lives, and a number of women who are from the city.The Farmer Wants a Wife Autralian edition is hosted by Natalie Gruzlewski.Farmer Wants a Wife 2010 presented six farmers in its 5th season namely Becky Cassanova from South Australia, aged 34; Devon Mills from Hopetoun, Victoria, aged 25; Jamie Morgan from Monkey Mia, Western Australia, aged 40; Charlie Norton of Walcha, New South Wales, aged 25; Nathan McClymont of Wiluna, Western Australia; and last but not the least, Shaun Fewson form Nyabing, Western Australia, aged 31.The show successfully ended when farmer Nathan McClymont of Wiluna, WA popped the question to Amanda Ecker admitting he is "seriously in love." For him, Ecker is like a dream come true.In his own words, Farmer Nathan described Ecker as a "gorgeous, funny, very laid back and affectionate" girl.The show is proven to be successful here in Australia for since its very first edition, it has already produced a baby, three marriages and two engagements, this last one being the second engagement so far in the Australian Farmer Wants a Wife history.According to the producers of the show, the casting for the sixth season of the show has already begun September last year even before the 5th season wrap up.The show started filming the sixth Farmer Wants a Wife November last year and is expected to air soon on Channel Nine.
