In May 2010 Lego released the first series of their Collectible Minifigures to a great reaction from fans.Within a month fans were wondering where the figures were as stores all over the world had limited supplied remaining or had sold out completely.The first series of 16 figures was considered a success so it was no surprise when Lego announced that a second wave was already in production and a third wave had been approved.Lego recently released high resolution images of all the series 2 figures and they are bound to please fans with the diversity and uniqueness of the figures.The 16 figures in wave two include. A Spartan with a spear and shield A Lifeguard with a rescue buoy A Witch with a broom A Pop star with a microphone A Weightlifter with barbells A Ringmaster with a whip A Jungle Explorer with magnifying glass and telescope A Karate Champion with a trophy A Surfer with a surfboard An Egyptian Pharaoh with a sceptre A Vampire with a bat A Traffic policeman with ticket and handcuffs A Mime artist with 3 changeable masks (Happy/Sad/Very sad) A Skier with skis and poles A Disco Dancer with an afro hairstyle and a "Brick Fever" LP A Mexican with Maracas and sombrero.All the figures are as unique as the series one figures, with new designs and pieces galore, sure to appeal to kids and fans alike for new and exciting Lego creations.The second series is due in stores worldwide in September 2010 and each blind package will again have the unique barcodes that allow those in the know to pick and choose the figures they desire.Lego have responded to criticism and removed the barcodes from the next series 3 release.Nevertheless at this early overview Lego will continue the success of the first series and have fans clamouring for more.
