Fly V80 Mobile - The Dual SIM Fever

Fly V80 Mobile - The Dual SIM Fever

After sweeping the Chinese market, dual SIM fever is here to capture India. From small to giant every phone company is lining the queue one after the other. Why not? as it is not only an excellent way to access two networks in one phone but also gives you a great way to separate your personal and official contacts. The dual SIM facility, when it first came to India, was characterized by high end feature phones pricing heavy.Thank FLY to bring out an affordable dual SIM phone for basic phones. The extremely simple and sober FLY V80 is a basic phone supporting dual sim.The phone has a black rubberized casing and a silver line runs under every row of the keypad. It supports a GSM and a CDMA connection. It features a 1.85-inch 65K TFT color display, 800 Phonebook, 200 sms storage capacity, dual standby mode.So how does it differ from the others in the league except the fact that it is a reasonable basic one? The answer is its outstanding battery life. The other dual SIM models available in the market discharge battery quickly and hence need a charge within short periods but this one proved to be different.A single charge would last you comfortably for about eight hours, including about three hours of calling and about an hour of playing games. The phone might be good for the price it comes but it has few ergonomic issues like the absence of dedicated call-receiving keys for GSM and CDMA individually. Thus you have to scroll through the menu to select the network each time you call.Adding up to this is the keypad with keys placed too close to each other making it inconvenient to use.The phone lacks features like FM radio or a VGA camera making it a bit undesirable. The V80i is packed with similar features and has some additional features like FM radio and Speaker phone. The Fly V80 is priced at Rs 4,490.Although it is a bit overpriced for the features it holds there is no dual SIM in this price range.Other dual SIM phones like the Bleu 670x and Spice D88n with multimedia capabilities are available for Rs 6,599 and Rs 8,599, respectively. So if you are the one in the strict need of a dual SIM phone but cannot invest much then this is something you can look for.
